Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
